Sacnité Alvarez is the creator of these works. She was born in 1995 in a small town in Mexico and, since childhood, grew up surrounded by art. Daughter of teacher parents and part of a large family, she lived in a home where creativity was always present: a table full of crayons, papers, colors, and materials for imagining and creating.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Education. Throughout her professional career, she has excelled in areas such as social work, clinical psychology, and teaching, maintaining a deep interest in communities, education, and mental health from a young age, especially for children and vulnerable populations.
A little over three years ago, she moved to North Carolina. The reason? Love, but that's another story... Migrating was not just joys; it also meant facing migratory grief: the distance from family and friends, her culture, her roots, and the life she knew in Mexico. The experience of starting anew in another country profoundly transformed her way of feeling, observing, and creating.
Life in this new environment gave her time and space to reconnect with painting. Although she has been creating works since the early 2000s, it was in 2025 that she began sharing and selling her art for the first time.
Her motivation goes beyond aesthetics: she seeks to raise awareness, connect with people through her works, and generate a positive impact. In each piece, emotions, identity, memory, and resilience converge; a way to transform the human experience into art that accompanies, questions, and connects.
